Career Goals

I would like to work in the school setting because when I was in High School, the social worker had a really big impact on me and is one of the main reasons I choose to seek a career in social work. After working in a school setting it has really solidified that I would like to get a specialization in school social work.

​​I would like to work in the clinical setting of social work for a few reasons. I hold mental health very dear to my heart for personal reasons and I would like to be able to help people that are struggling and in crisis. The other reason is that I have personally seen what the positive effects have been for me in my daily life, and I want to be able to impact others this way as well.     

Educational Goals 

I plan on taking a year to gain experience working in the field. This will allow me to experience working in a setting outside a school, such as a hospital or some kind of clinical setting if possible. I hope to return back to school to get my MSW with a concentration in school or clinical social work.
